Sue is a UK artist living in a beautiful Welsh seaside village. She has no formal art training and is 100self-taught. She has been painting abstract art on weekends and evenings since her early teens and I absolutely loves it.
She creates one-off original paintings, never replicates them. She mainly uses acrylic paint but likes to dabble with oils as well. She doesn't follow "a style" per se, she paints what she loves, what inspires her and she hopes this is conveyed in her paintings.
She wants the viewers of her paintings to enjoy what they're seeing, whether they chose to make a purchase or not. "Painting excites me, a shape, a colour, a landscape or a cloudy sky will spark an idea and I try to capture it on canvas. My paintings evoke my emotions, they make me feel cheerful or content. Some have a tranquil, relaxing effect with soft tones and delicate brush strokes; whilst others are bold, vibrant and break away from traditional ideas bringing a feeling of exhilaration and excitement."
